Although final confirmation has yet to arrive, it's being reported that Ann Coulter has broken her jaw, and that it's had to be wired shut.

We wish Ms Coulter a speedy recovery in her time of distress.

Dang, but it's hard to type when you have all your fingers crossed.

Really? PLEASE? That would be the best thing to be thankful for, ever! Even with dangling participles.

Yes, it's sort of the ideal Thanksgiving present to the world, isn't it?

So Sigourney Weaver finally threw her out the airlock?

"So Sigourney Weaver finally threw her out the airlock?"

Much roaring with laughter going on. Yours is by far the best explanation yet . . .

The first time I ever heard Ann Coulter, I openly asked "Where the hell are Sigourney Weaver, a forklift, and an open airlock when you need 'em?" I was really surprised over two years ago that the political cartoonist Mike Luckovich did a cartoon featuring a similar theme. I'm not sure if it was parallel evolution or if he actually read any of my work.

I like Keith Olbermann's explanation: 'It was on page six of the New York Post so she probably just broke a toenail.'

It would be a great shame if so.

It would be indeed. La Coulter obliged a while to silent discipline might learn something.

"might learn something"

Doubt it, but 'tis the season of goodwill, after all.

I have hope even for her. Though perhaps the peroxide has damaged her brain irreparably.

But if her ass isn't broken, she can still talk, right?

A distinct point.

How permanent is this condition?

Because it would be just dreadful if... (fill in blank, depending on your disposition and degree of honesty).

"Because it would be just dreadful if... "

. . . it were merely temporary, you mean?

I was amused this morning to discover one of the rationalist sites headlining their report of La Coulter's dilemma thus: THERE IS A GOD AFTER ALL.
