Mike Allen ([livejournal.com profile] time_shark) has now announced the list of stories that'll be in Clockwork Phoenix #3, although he has yet to determine the final order. In alphabetical order of the authors' names, then, the contents are:

By the way, for some reason there's currently a delay of hours if not days between people leaving comments on this blog and my receiving the customary e-mail notifications. Comments left for me on other people's LJ blogs, by contrast, seem to be coming through fairly promptly, in the usual way. Is anyone else experiencing similar difficulties?

Apparently. I had one yesterday that took hours to come through. I don't many comments now (I forward my posts to Facebook and most of my former LJ commenters now read them there).

I vaguely remember there was a problem like this a few months/year ago, and tyhat it suddenly cleared up. But I don't recall it lasting for as long as this one seems to be doing.

You mean you haven't seen that 10,000-word essay on transcendental meditation in the 17th century I left on your LJ the other day? Well, shame! A work of scholarship the like of which has not been seen since, er, since . . .

Oh, that, I saw that. It had turned into a disquisition on transcending dental medication. Written in Doric. Doric Greek.

Doric Greek.

'Ere! I used to know her! Lovely lass, was Doric.

Not very tall, though. That's why people called her Little Doric . . .

Dickens of a lass to pin down, though.

Congrats, Paul! I look forward to "Where Shadows Go at Low Midnight."

Yeah, me too on the emailing of comments. I've just been cruising my posts, seeing if the number has changed.

Paul

You've made me realize I should have listed the stories in order of authors' real names . . .

Yes, Barnett does come before Brennan. *g*

Here I was, feeling all smug, when I noticed there were two comments on my LJ I wasn't aware of. Bugger.

Especially when I keep getting them twice over!

Oooh, hey, that's an anthology series that's been getting a lot of good press of late. Congrats!

Yes, LJ notifications have trickled or ceased altogether for me.

Great sale. I love these CP anthos... but seem to be completely unable to write a story that fits, which inevitably leads to friendly and professional rejections.

It is very hard indeed to know what Mike's going to like; his tastes are a bit more complex than those of many other editors.

I've noticed some delay, but I've also been away from my LJ from a couple of days. Mostly on account of end-of-semester bafflegab having to do with trying to prepare a budget for my department. Requesting sums of money many times my own income doesn't come naturally to me.

They're beginning to come through in dribs and drabs -- and they're still working through days-old comments. The nuisance is, of course, that one has to open each and every e-mail notification just in case there's a comment in among them that one hasn't seen before.

I wrote that response at 8:23. It didn't show up in email until after midnight.
