If you're not such a milquetoste as to be frightened by the prospect of a cross between Bach and Afro-Cuban jazz, here's something you might want to listen to: me, I've been listening to the three tracks on offer all day long, and am planning to buy the CD next time I'm near a record store.

Gail told me about someone who'd done marimba versions of Bach and other baroque composers called "Bach on Wood". I found it here: http://www.amazon.com/Bach-Wood-Johann-Sebastian/dp/B000002629

All Things Considered also introduced me to Punch Brothers. Good stuff, that NPR.

Interesting.

I am not by any stretch a milquetoast and neither is Ben, but we're both bothered by the 'straight' sections in the middle of the awesome groove.

But the awesome groove is definitely awesome.
