Yes, all over the US people will be forming long lines, sometimes standing in wait for hours, in order to hear the latest news about my progress in the operating theatre.

I'm hoping this will be the last of my seemingly interminable sequence of adventures under the bright lights. The surgeon is planning to implant three arterial stents (or kissing stents, as the technical jargon charmingly calls them), two in the iliac region for arteries supplying the legs and one in a renal artery. I should be home by mid-/late evening, and expect to clank as I walk.

Just so long as I can get up the stairs to watch the election results come in . . .

I don't care who you plan to vote for -- Barack Obama or that lying warmonger McCain -- but, if eligible, make sure you vote!
