Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] louismaistros  for this.

I never thought this day would come when I'd be able to say it, but the constant lies and slanders emitted by the McCain/Palin campaign have become so bad that even Bill O'Reilly has been moved to object.

Yeah, that was Tuesday, I think. I LIVEBLOGGED IT, MAN. It was like the devil asking Jesus on a date, yes.

Tuesday was not a good day for me. Ongoing puter problems . . .

Paul, you should probably sit down for this one. If Bill O'Reilly's objection to McCain's sleaze tactics felt like a jolt of electricity to the lower extremities, this one may put you away:

Karl Rove has actually gone public saying that McCain's ads have "gone too far."

Karl. Fucking. Rove.

Pardon my French.

I cannot stop giggling. Help me. Please.

As much as I would love a free pint, I cannot decipher this.

I wasn't surprised that Rove included Obama in this "balanced" criticism of both parties. But it is so difficult to believe he said anything negative about McCain. I suspect Rove wanted to run McCain's campaign, got rejected, and is now having a little revenge. I can't imagine what else might have caused this. But I am enjoying the show!

You're right. That sound in the background is of my gob smacking itself.

Of course, Rove being the exquisite pile of pigshit that he is (and CNN being the spineless wankers they've become), there's the supposed "balance" bit accusing the Obama campaign of the same sort of poisonous lying -- an accusation that is, oopsy-day-poopsy, devoid of anything by way of cited examples, supporting argument, whatever. Maybe they -- gulp -- couldn't find anything that sunk so far beneath the scum at the bottom of the barrel as the "Obama wants graphic sex ed for toddlers" ad.

Incidentally, if you can work out the train of logic in this Tucker Bounds quote in the CNN report, I'l gladly buy you a pint:

Obama on Saturday accused McCain and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin of avoiding the issues to "distort" his record.

"They're going to talk about pigs, and they're going to talk about lipstick; they're going to talk about Paris Hilton, they're going to talk about Britney Spears. They will try to distort my record, and they will try to undermine your trust in what the Democrats intend to do," he said at a stop in Manchester, New Hampshire.

McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds criticized Obama for showing "zero restraint," considering what Gulf Coast residents were facing after Hurricane Ike. Bounds said the "attacks mark a new low from Barack Obama."

Huh? Has the man been raiding Rush Limbaugh's oxycontin supplies?
