More on the precise title later, but I heard this morning from Mike Allen, who's editing the anthology Clockwork Phoenix, that he'd like to include the 7600-word story I submitted to him. Great joy, obviously.

Concerning publication date for the anthology, Allen wrote to me that "It's currently scheduled for publication in July and we hope to have it ready for ReaderCon" -- a nice short lead time compared to many other anthologies. The publisher is Norilana, about whom more can be discovered at http://www.norilana.com/. There's a cover rough for the book at http://www.norilana.com/clockworkphoenix-mockup.jpg.

I gather he's going to do the rest of the reading/deciding next week or the week after; he has some unrelated obligation that must be cleared out of the way first. Apparently a last-minute rush of submissions has complicated things a bit . . .

Thanks,Paul. You're a nice person. I am so grateful to have made your acquaintance, here at lj. ;-)

I anticipate reading your stories, when they arrive. I'll let you know when they get here.

A joy to have "met" you, too, Jody!

The book should reach you tomorrow. I hope you're not too disappointed!
