Keith Brooke, whose Infinity Plus Ebooks bought my Warm Words and Otherwise: A Blizzard of Book Reviews for publication (just last Monday!), has written some very kind words about the project -- and about how he went from "You must be nuts" to "What a great idea" -- on his blog, All Things Keith Brooke and Infinity Plus. So that's started my day in the way I hope it continues.

I've enjoyed your book reviews here for some time, and am off to buy my electronic copy now.

How kind of you!

The reviews in the book are somewhat less hastily written and skimpy than the informal notes I post here. Fewer typos, too.

Hope the day proved to be as splendid as its beginning. :-)

Not so much. I'd been working 'til 2am the night before, and we had to be up at ~5.30am so we could pour antibiotics into one of the cats before Pam toddled off to jury duty. So yesterday was the experiential equivalent of an ash cloud. I am hereby officially too old for late-nighters like this, let alone the all-nighters I used to happily countenance. I need to make a point in future of being in my tuckabye at a sensible time, with my corduroy slippers and my cozy woolies.
