Well, it's nice to see someone in the US questioning US exceptionalism. Because, y'know, out here in the rest of the world, the latter is just every so slightly wearing. (Yes, the UK isn't perfect. I have never thought it was, before someone jumps on me with all the usual stuff. But I don't think any country is or can be perfect.)
