I heard two after the disaster a representative of Massey claim that the disaster was the culture of miners AND of the unions -- so macho, that they disregard safety regulations.
The talking points this week are that we must tax tax tax to keep the fed budget from breaking, and these taxes must be paid by the poor because they aren't paying taxes, and the rich are paying way too much beyond their fair share because there are so many rich people now, many more than before.
I am not making this up. National Public Rhetoric has had endless numbers of people on every one of their goddamn talk shows spewing this stuff this week.
