Well, there were a half-dozen copies in the dealers' room (several of which, to my astonishment, sold), but aside from that the only qualified celebrants -- in the absence of a certain publisher -- were me and a single contributor, the estimable Ekaterina Sedia, whom I met for the first time at WFC -- a great joy. Pam was prepared to mark the occasion by jumping out of a cake, but unfortunately our absentee publisher had not even thought to lay on the cake.
