rescheduling news

There's been a fair amount of schedule-juggling to be done -- because my NEW, IMPROVED, BUY ONE GET ONE FREE double operation requires the presence of a vascular surgeon to do the work on my neck arteries as well as the heart surgeon to do the bypasses -- but at last a date has been fixed.

Monday, June 2.

Ulp.

Monday somehow seems very much closer than it did a few minutes ago.

We'll be thinking of you. May it go smoothly and with no, I repeat, no complications.

Wow, that is soon!

I suppose it's better sooner, but eeeek.

We shall most certainly be having you in our thoughts that day. And for the days after.

I hope you'll be able to post while you're going through your recovery. Will you need to do therapy of any sort? Or is post-op focused just on getting you on your feet again, and walking? How long will you be in the hospital before you can go home again?

Love, C.

Gentle hugs and healing thoughts! Hope it goes as smoothly and painlessly as possible!

I can imagine how nervous you must feel, Paul. What a pain in the rear for you, to have to go through this. But at least the problem will be taken care of, and you'll have a good ticker afterward, and a clear carotid. Which means a great deal to those who care about you! Thank goodness you're getting the work done.

Good thoughts are with you!

Okay, at least you have a date and you're getting a two-for-one, which can't be bad. We'll be thinking of you, as you know.

so, soon you'll be thinking more clearly, having the carotids done. That's a scary thought! You're too smart as it is! or at least your lower end is smart...

seriously, I hope Pam has us on the email list. I love you both and'll be thinking of you. June 2 is circled on my calendar.(((((hugs)))))))

All right then, get it over with and get back to business ASAP. We'll be beaming good thoughts your way.

My friend, it's ok to be afraid, that's natural and there's something wrong with you if you're not at least a little afraid -- but don't panic.

You will be ok. This is a fact. Believe that.

All best wishes for a speedy revovery,

Louie

Better to get it done sooner--and with that amazing two-for-one special deal--than later. Fingers crossed and good vibes beaming your way. Will mark my calendar to check in with Pam a couple days after the surgery when things are a little less stressed.
Healing hugs,
Jean Marie

Wow, so soon... Here's wishing you a swift and full recovery, Paul -- all the best for the days (and weeks) ahead.

But think how much better you'll feel on July 2nd!

Good luck and quick healing!

Yikes! Just tracking down your blog to play catch-up! Good luck kiddo and if there's anything I can do let me know.
I'd better be on Pam's list.

Came across the news of your theatre trip by accident. All the very best from the clan in Scotland. We'll be thinking of you. Sheila

Having just gone through cancer surgery (at the other end of things in my case), you have my most profound sympathies and understanding.

Here's hoping everything goes as well as possible, from the procedure itself to the (swift) recovery.
