The Age of Madness

Another text you might be able to dig up, long out of print (1973), is one I'm looking at right now: The Age of Madness, edited by Thomas Szasz, subtitled: "A History of Involuntary Mental Hospitalization Presented with Selected Texts." Nice Edward Gorey cover, too.
