I have to admit that I never expected that McCain's campaign could possibly sink lower than Bush's surreal Rovian run in 2004, but how wrong I was. It has sunk much lower, which I did not think possible.
It is truly frightening.
I only wish Obama would more effectively hit back. He's got plenty of ammunition, he's just too "noble" to use it. But if you're going to fight people who live in the sewer, sometimes you have to get down into the gutter. There's too much at stake here to do otherwise. I'm still holding out a hope, though -- silly me.
