Cone Zero reviewed

D.F. Lewis's anthology Cone Zero, in which I have a story, has been reviewed by David Hebblethwaite ([profile] thisplacehere) over on the Serendipity site. His conclusion:

What difference does it make not knowing who wrote which of these stories? Speaking personally, I'm not sure, because I'm unfamiliar with the work of all the listed authors (bar one) anyway. However, the stories in the book are what really count, and... Well, I'm usually wary of saying things like this, but I expect to see Cone Zero on the lists of this year's best anthologies. It will richly deserve any such place.

Mucho gracias, P. Yes, tomorrow I storm Farrow's citadel and retrieve my lab work. The MRI film his office managed to lose. But I can at least get the report and results of my EEG. Then it's off to see my new neurologist on Thursday.

I can't wait to put this whole ordeal behind me. I'm sick of it.

My husband and I took the dogs for a hike in Mount Charleston today. It was beautiful; we climbed a steep, thickly pined hillside and surveyed the dry, grey desert expanse miles below us. Felt good to get out of Pisstown. (See what you started?)

"The MRI film his office managed to lose."

They've not found it? You should inform your insurance company, who shouldn't have to pay for the MRI. I'm sure they'd agree . . . which might satisfyingly piss off Le Farrow.

"I can't wait to put this whole ordeal behind me. I'm sick of it."

I can absolutely imagine this is so. The last couple of weeks must have been complete hell for you. Major cyberhugs.

Thanks, Paul. Hugs back.

You had a crazy week yourself -- at least Tuesday was hell for you. Or was it Tuesday? Now I've forgotten which day all the craziness happened on! See, this is just one of the many reasons why keeping a journal is so important!

Stress. Ya gotta love it.
