I've had a couple of suggestions I should do a blog post about the origins of the book. Still thinking about this.

The annoying part of these ruminations is that I *did* a long and impassioned blog post for the old The Third Alternative site, 'way back when the Prime/Strange Pleasures shit hit the fan, and of course I have no record of it now.
