It's war fatigue. Remember how the stories of British soldiers killed in Northern Ireland started on the front pages of the papers, and then, down the years, percolated gradually inside and started to occupy fewer and fewer column inches? And yes, it does suck. I think the Beeb and Sky manage better than four minutes a week, by some distance.
